Keanu Reeves and Hugo Weaving seems a lot less interested this time around, where - on the opposite site - Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss really shine in this movie, as well as the new additions like Monica Bellucci who didn't really work the first time I saw the movie, but definitely grew on me as I watched it a second time.
The acting also seems a little bit off this time. A plot that I don't even think The Wachowskis really understood themselves. Where the first movie had a very interesting, yet simple story, this movie just goes into the very complicated and throws a plot right in the face of the audience. This movie fails on many of the levels where the first movie really shined. "The Matrix Reloaded" is not as good a film as the first one. After a movie that was so great and so intelligently crafted together piece by piece, everybody had their expectations incredibly high when they announced a sequel.
